Alan Siciliano practiced law for more than thirty-seven years, and was one of the founding partners of DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis, LLP. He retired from the practice of law in January 2015, but continues to serve the firm as of counsel, and as a valuable mentor to our young associates.

Born in 1946, in Washington, D.C., he attended Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, where he obtained a B.S. in Economics, in May 1969. After serving in the United States Army for two years, including a tour in Vietnam, he returned to Washington, D.C., and entered the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. He was a member of the Catholic University Law Review, and earned his juris doctorate in 1975. Mr. Siciliano served as judicial law clerk to The Honorable John J. Mitchell, Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland before entering private practice.

Mr. Siciliano's areas of expertise include medical and professional malpractice, insurance defense, premises liability, workers' compensation, civil litigation, common carrier litigation, and insurance coverage law, with special emphasis in the defense of catastrophic personal injury actions. Mr. Siciliano is admitted to practice in all three area jurisdictions, Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Siciliano is Vice-President of the Board of Trustees, South River Colony Community Association, and chair of his neighborhood Cluster Committee.
