Erin Hebert Cancienne was born in Marrero, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University, where she obtained a B.S. in Marketing (with a concentration in Marketing Research) in 2002 and earned her J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University in 2005. At Paul M. Hebert School of Law, she was co-chair of the Pro Bono Society and volunteered in the VITA program.

In 2005, she became a member of the Louisiana bar. Prior to joining DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis, LLP, Mrs. Cancienne served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Anthony Ragusa, Jr. of the 25th Judicial District Court in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana.

In 2007, Mrs. Cancienne moved to Maryland and joined DeCaro, Doran, Siciliano, Gallagher & DeBlasis, LLP as a law clerk. The same year, Mrs. Cancienne was barred in Maryland and became an Associate Attorney assigned to the Litigation practice group. In 2009, she became a member of the D.C. Bar.

Mrs. Cancienne was elevated to Partner in January, 2017.

Mrs. Cancienne is a member of the Prince George's County Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
