Lisa H. Carrera is a native of Sacramento, California, and joins DeCaro Doran as an Associate Attorney assigned to the L1 Litigation Practice Group.  Lisa is a United States Navy veteran, having served as an Electronics Technician Petty Officer Second Class and assigned as a Legal & Executive Assistant to the JAG Corps at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Lisa attended The University of Maryland University College, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2016 with a B.S. in Legal Studies. Thereafter, she attended the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland where she earned her J.D. in 2019.

Lisa’s legal experience includes clerking with Hochberg, Costello, & Baron, located in Towson, MD, the Post-Conviction Division of the Public Defender’s Office in Baltimore City, and the Major Investigations Unit of the State’s Attorney’s Office in Baltimore City.  Subsequently, she served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore City for several years, ultimately specializing in the prosecution of Felony Narcotics, before joining DeCaro Doran.

Her practice is concentrated in General Liability and Insurance Defense.
