Autumn H. James is a Maryland native. In 2019, Autumn graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Autumn then returned to Maryland to complete her legal education at The University of Baltimore School of Law. She graduated cum laude in 2022 with her J.D. and became barred in Maryland later that year.

Following law school, Autumn worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender in Calvert County, Maryland.  As an Associate Attorney at DeCaro Doran, her practice is concentrated in General Liability and Insurance Defense Litigation.

In her spare time, Autumn enjoys playing pickleball, doing pilates, running, exploring new dining experiences, and spending time with her family, friends, and energetic dog.
